I currently live in Union County and am moving to another city in Union County. My kids will be changing schools (middle and elementary). I do not close on the house until Sept 30 but want to enroll my kids in their new school starting at the beginning of the year (Aug 25). Has anyone had to do this? Does the school still need all the paperwork even though my kids are currently enrolled in union county? I am running out of time since school starts next Monday but I hate to have my kids start in one school and then 30 days later switch schools.

I would call the school. Do you have any "official" papers with your name and the new address? Have you had the utilities transferred or anything. I just registered my two children and I had to have two forms of ID with our address on it to prove we lived in the school area.

all you need to do is call union county on monday, go to your school website that he/she will be attending print out the forms fax them over to the county for the approval for them to go, the district will call you to let you know your children have been accepted, you will need the letter from them then go to the school with your letter and they will give you forms to fill out and your kids will be enrolled...you will need your purchase contract to be faxed as well, other than that they will obtain the records from your previous school so not an issue its pretty simple since your staying in Union County..

good luck

Hi, does anyone know if my children can attend Union County schools if we live in Lancaster County, SC, but we own a house in Union County which we do not rent out? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!
