Does anyone know of any good discount furniture stores in Charlotte or surrounding area that might carry a wide selection of kids furniture?

You dont necessarily need to purchase items from Charlotte. You can spend less money buying furniture online and get the same quality, although it usually does require some assembly which could take a few house. There are many of these websites on the internet, just do a search for childrens bedroom furniture.

Agree. Kids' furniture for the most part is not going to last for many years, at least during the early ages. I have several pieces that are over 8 years old and are just now starting to go "bad": drawer sticks, slightly "used".

I love the furniture on that site! Any other links? I prefer home furnishings that are a bit different than the everyday stuff.

There is (was?) a used furniture store that had quality kid's section in Matthews off of 74. Sam Newell road, I think.

(We still have the dresser from when I was a kid and it's mint...not for sale but just saying used quality furniture can be better than the china stuff you get today)

But be careful of recalls (if you're buyin' or sellin').
