I was out on Thursday night. It was only 67 in the house so we put the heat onto to 69 just to lose the chill.

We're still going strong, no heat planned for at least another couple weeks. We don't even have a thermostat installed, working on replacing it.....

Last year, heat didn't come on until the week of Thanksgiving and that was because the house we rented had an uninsulated crawl space. In a new house, no crawlspace.

We also sleep with windows open a bit this time of year.

I manage to not flip the heat on. I can feel the coldness of tiles thru my socks but wrap here. I like the cool air breathing in. Thermostat says its about 60 in the house.

High today only 64 I dont expect the house to warm up I think Ill be flipping it on this evening.

It's 72 in my house and feels a bit chilly. Then again, this is the farthest north I've lived.

Brrr ... it was cold last night and I turned the heat on last night! Cold weather and winters in general are why I never, ever complain about 90+ summer days. For me, it is alway easier to cool off than it is to get warm .

and I'm... OUT

Couldn't get the chill out the house with just the gas fireplace and had to turn on the heat - it got down to 65 upstairs and wasn't warming up. For those who are still holding out, looks like you'll get some relief this coming week with the lows staying in the 50s. Good luck!

For the record, I blame the wife - I would have kept layering up clothes... and honestly, who doesn't love getting under tons of blankets with a cool pillow at bedtime?!?!

P.S. I will admit getting out of a hot shower can be painful on cold tile!! lol
