What made you choose Weddington Trace? You're going with a new SP home or resale?

We chose that place bc we like the community, lots of trees, diff. homes, and the builder standard pacific had hight ratings, and of course the schools..

Mygirls, we just relocated here a few months ago and I also have 2 girls, one in 3rd grade and one in 6th grade. We also looked at Weddington Trace. I don't remember the specifics, but I believe that the elem school assigned to WT is the one that feeds into Weddington MS/HS, however WT is assigned to Cuthbertson MS/HS. That means that the elem school kids in WT will not go to MS/HS with most of the kids that they went to elem school with. Not a big deal, but just some extra info that I learned and thought I'd pass along.

We have found the transition to be a good one. It was easier for the 3rd grader than the 6th grader, but that was to be expected. The neighbors, teachers, and practically everyone we have met have been really nice and have helped with the transition a lot.

Best of luck to you!

Hope you have a smooth move to NC! We also are in Long Island but looking to move next year. We love the Marvin/Matthews area. I too am tired of the high taxes!! I have several friends who have already moved from LI to NC and they love it!! Good luck!
