Default where to rent 1 bdrm in charlotte metro

Dear friends,

I am curious where to rent 1 bdrm in safe and affordable area in Charlotte.
I hate traffic, so I would like to be close proximity to dwntwn and major businesses.
I want to be around 500 not more than 650 for 1 bdrm or even studio.

By the way how is job market in Charlotte according to some information that I found it is 2nd largest financial center in the USA, which means a lot of banking jobs am I correct.

regards,

JOHNNY SUPERMAN

Check out the University area. Something like Davis Lake Apts, can get youa one bredroom for $600 I believe (with Cable included). The job market is pretty good, Lowe's BofA, Wachovia, some others are still hiring well.

You may also want to look into roommates initially to save some cash, if you can deal with them. I know I enjoyed the extra $300 to $400 a month savings.
