history has a way of repeating itself and here we are about to be in 2012, and we are setting up to repeat 1968 all over again. The perfect storm for radicals is brewing for 2012, there is a wave of anti capitalism brewing like we havent seen since the sixties. The occypy folks are in w/ the socialist and comunist who would like to see social justice and the destruction of capitalism, in which would lead to the end of Americas greatness as we know it, also add in the that would destroy the western way of life im sure many radical muslims would love to see an American spring in 2012. With the dnc convention comming to town next year the pictures of the 68 dnc convention comes to my mind of what Charlotte will be remembered for.
Radicals, anachist, union thugs, and every left wing fring group will be bused into Charlotte. Im not posting this thread to **** anyone off im just stating facts. Please keep in your prayers our local police officers and firefighters as they will be in the front lines try to keep the violence down, but folks the world and our country is on fire right now and i fear what 2012 will bring us, and afer everything is said and done I think Charlotte will regret hosting this convention.

first of all im not on a ban wagon w/ any party and im just stating what 2012 will bring us, im not talking about gop politics here, im stating what the political climate is like and what it might hold in play for charlotte in september 2012

The fact that there have been protestors at every political convention city since 1968 wouldn't be playing into your prediction would it? Relax, the GOP convention will have their fair share of protestors, too.

If the overall mood of this country deteriorates further and the Obama administration loses the left lean of this movement, Charlotte will most certainly be making some huge national headlines.
Right now the occupy movement is an attack dog with a wary owner who probably believes it's necessary to keep it around. The moment the owner runs out of food that dog is gonna hallucinate its owner into a t-bone steak.
I would've been behind them against the reckless spending from the Bush administration and I'd be behind them if they turned some of their venom onto the Obama administration. Right now it's only been "Bad administration, bad!" while causing more of a ruckus elsewhere. I'll be curious to see what happens come Spring and the colleges gear to let their students out into the real world.
So while Constitutionalist sounds like he's a regular caller to the Alex Jones Show, I think he has a valid point. The more this movement grows (provided it's still growing when the DNC comes to town) and the angrier it becomes, the chances of Charlotte seeing a relatively peaceful display of protest diminish drastically.
