If people liked Dynasty more than Hibachi, why wouldn't they have continued to go to Dynasty? The newness of Hibachi has long since worn off. Food is one area where people can't be tricked.
Because there's a big difference between $10 for dinner at Hibachi vs $17.50 at Dynasty before they closed. Everybody would say Dynasty was far superior food, but it was expensive as all get out. Not sure about the new Dynasty cuisine. I wish them luck.

Well thanks for the post and replies folks...I have been searching and searching online to see if this place ever reopened since closing for renovations. My kids LOVED this place and ask about it all the time. The numbers posted on the net are disconnected and I don't live close enough to warrant a drive out there just to see if it has reopened or not. I'm glad to know about the change in style, and nope, this family of five will not be paying anywhere near $18 a plate just to eat at a BUFFET. HELLO?!

So let me get this straight...far superior food is more expensive?

Whooda thunk it.

I never ate at Dynasty for dinner, so maybe I missed out. It would have needed to be much better than lunch (HOT food would have been a good start) to get my endorsement, especially for the price. I have tried Hibachi for dinner, and besides a couple seafood additions, I don't see much difference from lunch. I'm still looking for the butter shrimp they advertise but I've never seen on their buffet.

This place sounds pretty good.

I was there yesterday for dinner (second time after trying it once before). The food was very good at a reasonable price. It's not the typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant, a bit more authentic. The service was good but a bit disorganized. Will go back again

Buffet Dynasty kept raising their prices and that's what did them in. It slowly crept up from $10 to around $17.50 I think before they closed. Granted the food quality was much better than other buffets but if I am going to pay $20 for a meal, there are so many better places to go than Buffet Dynasty. I'll have to check out the new Dynasty Cuisine.
Leave the feeding trough buffet's behind and try going to Red Bowl in Monroe (other locations too). Much better quality of food and service for not much more money.

Everyone knows that ALL chains are the work of the devil, the food is always garbage, and no one should ever eat there.
