Didn't you say not available in NY? What I was saying is, it's available here, in NC, and not in NY. I don't consider Lake Norman NY, despite its many transplants!

Good lord, have you ever been out of NC?

I am not a big fan of NYC, but I remember hearing that NYC got Krispie Creme before Philly, & that's been years ago.

Belks is a regional chain & every region has one, for pete's sake.

humility????????? After you made the snarky remark to me & I posted my proof in the NC trivia thread, I didn't see you show any.

The correct sauce for BBQ is what people like in a given area. I believe there are 2 here in NC.

Creamed corn?????? Creamed corn is everywhere. Now if you would have said skillet corn, you'd be right, although one of my grandmothers used to make skillet corn in Michigan, with a spider (skillet).

Peach ice cream. . .look at Breyers

Really? Wow. I've never ever had to "want" for anything in Manhattan.

FYI Hot Sauce | Texas Pete® Hot Sauce has a store locator that is showing 10 locations in mid town alone and another 8 downtown that carry it. I'm sure there are a ton of other small markets that get it third party.

Sorry southie. Those are all things I've never found in NYC, which I (mistakenly?) thought was the premise of the thread. Of course, I've never lived in NYC so hopefully some of my mistakes can be forgiven.

I have no doubt you can find everything! Even an insult where there is none!

I would not steer you wrong on the cook out shakes, try one and grab a spoon (thick old time shakes). Overall their food puts Steak and Shake to shame.

CharlotteGal, I didn't mean to confuse anything. I thought the previous post said that Glenheim couldn't be purchased in this area (Charlotte). I was saying that I had seen it in local (Lake Norman) grocery stores.
