Southpark is in the middle of a very congested area, so that's why there is so much congestion.

IMHO There probably are other places with worse traffic, but South Park is not one of them.

Lol, reading over this again. Charlotte, the city itself is underrated. People are actually surprised when they come here. With Charlotte being one of the largest cities on the East Coast, it's a pretty good size. SouthPark is by far not the only mall in Charlotte. Go to Google and type in "Northlake Mall". The address comes up as 6801 Northlake Mall Drive, Charlotte NC, 28216... but yet it isn't in Charlotte? Do you see the upscale stores that are at SouthPark at Northlake, Concord Mills, Carolina Place? No and there's a reason for it. SouthPark is the Carolina's most upscale mall and one of Simon's, (the company that owns it) most profitable malls in the country. A regular day at the mall is worse enough, Black Friday is only going to make it worse as with any mall. Charlotte has Interstate 77, 277, 85 and 485 and no, none run close to the mall. But looking at the SouthPark area in general, if the mall weren't to be there, the area would still be congested. The survey wasn't "The Most Congested Area in America", it was the most congested SHOPPING AREA in the country. Whether you want to come to terms and agree or not, Charlotte's SouthPark mall IS the worst congested shopping area for Holiday traffic. Other malls that made the list (Lenox) is in Atlanta... a city that is to big for itself.
