I'll be visiting Charlotte for the first time this weekend and wanted some advice on the best or must see things or areas of Charlotte. I am staying in the uptown area and there is a trolley stop near by. So any ideas would be great - I would love to get a real 'feel' for the city and not just stay in a couple block radius the whole time. Thanks!!!

The trolley isn't running right now. The light rail project screwed it all up.

The goldrush IS running though. That is making up for the trolley being out of service while the light rail construction is underway.

Also, taxis will be a help if going out later at night, and there are bike cabs.

Gold Rush is not currently running on weekends. it was at first, but driving an empty bus back and forth all weekend wasnt doing much except for polluting the air and wasting $.

Koko Brown, a famous jazz artist, will be at the Jazz Cafe Sunday. The Jazz Cafe N.C. >> Great Food >> Great Sounds

That was a good business idea. For me, I do not use them because they charge $55 to LKN and cabs are only $40.

It's good if you drove your car though and need to have it in the morning.
