the warehouse club stores...Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's...I've found that BJ's usually has the best ones, especially the cake boxes from the bakery section (you also don't need to be a member to go inside)

Total Wine/ABC stores have the best ones for transporting glassware especially. At Total Wine, you don't even have to ask anyone. They keep 'em all piled up in the front.

You could swing by your local Wendy's. I used their french fry boxes almost exclusively when moving a while back. Their fries come in frozen so they're strong boxes.

Just go by Walmart after hours when they stock........... you will get more boxes than you will ever need.

You can also go to your local grocery store and tell them how many you need, leave them your name and number. When you come back at the agreed upon time they will have the boxes ready to go!

Never pay for boxes!

Thanks for responses. Boxes at liquor store, good idea, never thought about. Walmart and other grocery stories always have small ones. I'll try at total wines and then Bj's or other store.

Liquor store boxes are a good size for heavy things like books. A woman can carry one box full of books, and a man should be able to carry two boxes.
