You can try trlawing.com. (No realtor needed.) They manage rental properties. We rented with them before we bought, and while I'd only give them a "C" for customer service, they were somewhat limited in some areas by the owner's wishes. If it's still available, they have a house listed in Matthews in the Matthews Grove subdivision. The neighborhood is bland-the developers mass graded, took out every tree, and built close together. However, for the most part, the homes are spacious, and the nieghborhood is conveniently located next to a plaza with some stores, a Harris Teeter, and the Siskey YMCA. They're currently building another plaze which will include a Super Bi-Lo. Also, the very nice Colonel Francis Beatty county park is just minutes down the road. If you have children, you'll be happy to know that the schools are very good. But maybe you already know that. I've lived in Matthews for just slightly over one year in the Brightmoor subdivision, and I really like it here.
Good luck finding your Home Sweet Home!

Well, that's right in the heart of old Matthews, which is perfectly safe. The traffic in that area gets bumper to bumper with everyone commuting in and out of Union County though. The house is probably 30 to 40 years old so just make sure you like the condiition of it before you sign anything. Good luck!

TY soooooooo much to all!
I guess the landlord fixed everything before anyone sees it sounds like he is very picky about how it looks to a new tenant!...so hope this one goes through!

I agree completely with lovesmountains. Also, If everything works out and if you haven't already done this, you can become a bit more familiar with the area by checking out matthewsnc.com. If you can handle the congestion at Trade and John Street, and learn the back roads, you will probably be happy on Sadie Dr. You can walk to Matthews Alive!-the large four day festival during Labor Day weekend. (The portion of Trade Street where Sadie joins to is closed at that time, and cars are everywhere.) You could walk to many things including the Farmers Market (open part of the year), the community center, and Saturday Night Live in Matthews (movies and entertainment in Stumptown Park).
Good Luck and Happy Moving!
