Yes, we may do something with cranberries & candles since it's the wknd before Thanksgiving. I would just need to find a deal on the cylinder vases I would need for that idea.

We are going to look into Harris Teeter as well. May use a florist for bouquets and HT for centerpieces, bouts, corsages. We'll see! Luckily I have plenty of time for planning

You might find those containers at Garden Ridge.....another idea might be to go to a florist to see if they might loan them to you....and then see if they would do your bouquet....as well as the other flowers you might need. Of course, you might just think Mums and some of the other things that might be around.....beautiful leaves and branches.....and do it yourself. Another good place to find your containers, might be at some of the second hand stores......Resale store on Eastway. Goodwill....going out of business sales....and there is another one at S. Tryon and Clanton...about a block south of that intersection on the right. For some reason....not known to me (probably old age)..I just can't remember the name....but I have been there.
Another thing that my son had at his wedding was a bird cage....where the guest could drop in cards....that might work for you....because of the season.
A friend of mine does hand written invitations as a business....you might want to see if one of your friends has especially good handwriting, and see if they will do the invitations for you.
Good Luck on your impending marriage....anddddd pleasssse just relaxxxxx and have fun!!

you can always look and buy online especially the centerpieces:

Surroundings - Table Candle Wedding Reception Centerpiece Ideas Designs
for example the first one uses silver but the cranberries would float and you could use metallic candles, depending on what you want

or the one where the wrap shiny garland for effect since the Christmas stuff will be out at Halloween

with the help of a few friends I would think making them ahead and set up wouldn't be too bad

Home. Lorie will work within your budget and she's very affordable. She's a friend of mine and I used to work for her. She was at the huge bridal show last weekend in case you were there.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions! We met with our local Harris Teeter florist today and were pretty happy with what they can offer. Their florist had over 30 years experience in the business which is comforting. We'll probably go that route.
