moving to the 704 questions...
my wife,son (9 months) and i currently live in albany,ny. we are looking to move to the charlotte area (probably more concord,kannapolis, or mooresville.) next year around august.
a few things i'd like to get figured out and if anyone has any input,feel free.
1-i did some interviews this past may (we were going to move then). most of them that had some promise wanted me back for a second round, but i had to fly back before i could meet with them again. some others didn't call me until july to ask me to interview. how should i go about securing a job in the area when i live quite far away?
2-how much would you have saved up to move? i'm trying to calculate moving expenses and a safety net for after we move.
3-i used to live in both charlotte and mooresville,so i'm somewhat familiar with the area. however,where would be the places to look for a safe neighborhood and either a house or apt. to rent at about $700 for something decent?
