This may sound like a dumb question, but are they expanding the major roads to accommodate for population growth? Are there any major projects planned?

After reading the transcript and watching the video, one can only hope that the influx of us outsiders moving in will actually force a change in the status quo. I've read many people on this board lament how NC has changed since so many people have relocated, but maybe the newcomers will force the issue. There is a natural tendency for locals, no matter what state the locality is in, to accept things the way they have always been done. Change can be a good thing, maybe all the new residents will force the issue for reevaluating the DOT budgets. At the very least if the population continues to rise they will probably at least agree to revisit before the scheduled 2013 time frame.
Thanks again for the info.
