Just wanted to report an update: the link isnt working so im waiting for my friend to resend it..however here is the update

WALMART lost the battle...from the NC court of Appeals:

The NC Court of Appeals issued a unanimous decision today in the Wal-Mart case ruling AGAINST Wal-Mart. As the decision is unanimous Wal-Mart does not have an automatic right to appeal, although they may still petition to do so. For those of us fighting against the proposed Wal-Mart,(at the corner of Rea Road and Tom Short Road) this is a major victory although this does not necessarily mean the battle is over.

Wal Mart net income in a recent quarter was $2.5 billion. Pretty hard numbers to fathom so spending the money on lawyers is no big deal I suppose.
