Wal-Mart etc are always hiring. If your looking for a office job they can be a little tougher.

oh,no. not an office job. i think i wouldn't be able to do that and be happy enough to stay too long. i don't mind retail and getting physical. just something that pays around 25k/year is fine by me. any suggestions?

At the rate they are building Harris Teeters and CVS Pharmacies around here, I'd think they'd constantly be hiring.

If you like to drive a school bus, CMS is begging for drivers right now.

I think I saw a sign at Office Depot that they are hiring in Pineville.

You can start you as a laborer and work for a temp company.

Alot of industries are leaving the area and others coming, however, there's no recovery for job loss in the immediate future.

You can check out Freightliner, which is a major employer. Do you do apartment maintence, that is one field where there is an abundance of jobs.

Does anybody know if the grocery store workers in NC are unionized? Just curious. I know that the grocery store workers out here are and they make anywhere from $18-$20/hour!!! I realize that the salaries are different from CA to NC, but I was just curious.

No they are not unionized. You will find that ALdi's pays the best wages in NC for grocery stores.

Yes, but generally they don't guarantee you more than 20 hours a week (but you will likely work more). And it is hard to get a job there too. They only hire every so often, you have to go when they are interviewing everyone else. NC is a right to work state, so you wont find unions all too much, especially in retail.

I used to do the physical, laborious work and never saw myself in a desk job. Now that I have it, I love it.

Try US Foodservice. They have a couple of distribution centers in Charlotte.
