Yes I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Duke hatred around here was similar to other parts of the country. Definitely does seem like there's more UNC fans in Charlotte than anything else

That's fine by me I guess. And I guess I'm not going to be the only Philly fan in the area as well. Always a good thing.

He is a Philly fan that means he is probably from PA or NJ..... most Duke fans are from the northeast...most students who attend Duke are from the northeast. It is not really considered a school that students who are from NC attend. Why would they? UNC is just as academically and athletically prestigious as Duke and is less than half the price in tuition.

Most Phillies fans are from SE PA, South Jersey or Delaware. That's the MidAtlantic, unless you divide the country up by rail corridors.

Actually, NC sends more kids to Duke than any other state. The southeast is the region with the highest representation. Having a world-renowned university is good for all of North Carolina, no matter which team one roots for during the tournament.
