Lately, I have been thinking about how ridiculous it is for me to pay $800 a month for a one bedroom apartment. As a single female, I don't really want to buy a house, because for a house under $150,000 in the LKN area, I will likely have to buy an older home, and repairs are not something I want to worry about! So, I was wondering how easy it is to sell a condo or townhouse in this area? Do the values appreciate or depreciate? I am fairly certain I know the answer to both of these questions (that they would be fairly easy to sell and that I would likely not lose money), but I just wanted to double check. I know I can afford a house in Statesville (my commute to work would be over an hour from there as I actually work in a neighboring county in which I'd rather not live) or Charlotte (rather not mess with Charlotte traffic. LKN is bad enough!).
The only thing that makes me leery about buying a townhome or condo is that there are new ones being built all over, so I wasn't sure how hard it would be to sell one!
Thanks!

Townhomes in the Cornelius/Huntersville area move pretty well. I agree it would be a better option.
