Is there anyone who doesn't know at this point that WalMart has cheaper prices? I don't go there because they have less selection, it is depressing and the workers there are very rude and have an attitude.

But, if I had a bunch of kids I would probably put up with it to save the cash. Hard to justify spending an extra 3 dollars per gallon of ice cream, 1.50 extra for cereal, etc.

I use Walmart for my staples, and HT for anything that I use that's on E-Vic and cheaper than I can get at Wal-Mart....

I have to say as I have only been living in the U.S since October,I find HT is more expensive some of the "deals" are not really deals for example 24 pk of Deerpark water they sell some weeks 3.99 this week its 7.95 but if you have a VIC card (which I do) you B1G1 free so its smoke and mirrors. I've been to most stores including Target, BILO, ALDI and Trader Joe's, BILO & Target both sell branded items cheaper than HT.I pick and chose my HT purchases.

I love Harris Teeter but recently I've had to shop at Walmart..... I'm saving 15 to 20 dollars at Walmart on the same items. The only time I use Harris Teeter is for meat or a specific item that's on sale.

You have to if you are a cost conscious shopper.....

For instance, this week, a dozen large white eggs at HT is 97 cents....(limit 2). We go through eggs like their out of style, so for me I loaded up the truck...(expiration date on most cartons was mid-april)

Other than that, you have to be very careful....

We learnedly that, when we got here first we went to HT as it was the nearest store to us and did the weekly shop but I did it another week in Target. I couldn't believe the difference for same brands another example bagels (same brand) $1 dollar more HT and I was buying a couple of packs at a time. So yeah I've learnedly I really only do HT for the specials now.

I tried using Target in Matthews but they have an even worse selection than WalMart.

I like Target as much as the next person, but why does Seattle's Best coffee at the Blakeney Target cost almost $9.00 and the one at Stonecrest only cost $6?
