It's been windy a lot lately, or maybe it's just me. I brought my flag in over a week ago afraid it might rip the bracket off my front porch column. Everytime I say to myself to fly it again, I open the door and get pushed back in by a wind gust.

I haven't researched it but the formation I had noticed yesterday seemed to be an Alberta Clipper - so I think that is what we have been experiencing. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That air feels nippy even if the temps are not that low. Thank Canada, lol.

Reason it feels so cold is because I think we've been enjoying above normal temps. Now temps are below normal w/a wind chill to boot...nice thing is that it will warm up in the next 2 days

Yes, that wind chill makes it feel more chilly and we certainly got spoiled w/ warmer than normal temps this winter. I am still hoping we don't have a crazy Ivan sort of situation that creates an ice storm in March.

I won't feel out of the wintery woods til April hits, lol. Silly me.

That's what I was thinking, maybe there will be one big hit in March or even April.
