Stafford Subdivision Info. (Charlotte, Washington: house, safe area, high school)

We are looking at a home on Birchley Circle, which is in the Stafford subdivision in Charlotte. I wanted to see if anyone knows what this area is like as far as neighborhoods, schools, crime, etc. The house looks like its in a really nice area, but me not being from the Charlotte area, I'm not sure if the pictures match the reality, if you know what I'm saying.

If anyone from the Charlotte area can provide any info about this area, I would greatly appreciate it. We have a teenage daughter who will be going into 12th grade in the fall, so want to make sure it's a safe area. My husband will most likely be commuting into downtown Charlotte for work, so also wanted to see if anyone knew what the commute was like from that area. We currently live near Washington, DC so are used to planning our life around traffic.

Just wondering how you settled on that particular area? It's not going to be a great commute to uptown, but then compared to what you see in D.C. it won't be terrible either, just lots of red lights on city streets and some two laned roads.

It's not a bad area at all, not the most desirable either, just kind of middle of the road

Have you been told which high school this home is assigned to?

I would consider researching the greatschools.org site to learn more about that school.
