Hey Everyone,

for the life of us my dh and I cant find on the website for dmv what documents we need to bring with us for a LEASED vehicles, in order to Register it here....

Anyone know?????

YES, it's a PITB...

NCDOT Division of Motor Vehicles: Leased Vehicles: Title/Registered

Before you do anything, contact the bank/company who owns the lease and tell them you need the paperwork for registering a lease in NC.

Also make sure they send an original Power of Attorney and if it is both names (say the car is registered in your and your husband's name) BOTH of you will have to go to the DMV to register the vehicle. I had mine sent in just MY name. That way my husband did not have to be with me.

thanks Liz, I know its a pain in the butt..lol...in NJ we were both on the registration...but the car is in dh's name on the lease so I guess I will go with him either way..Now my next question is...I have my NC license but dh is on the lease does he still have to go to register it or can I do it???

If the company will let you do the POA, you can do it. Otherwise, he will have to do it and he will have to have his NC DL first. Liz
