Abandoned property
I'm aware of a property that is abandoned. There's an issue with the property. How do I locate the bank responsible? I really need to make contact with them but no signs have gone up yet.
Thank you kindly.

I should have clarified that it's Union County. I was very friendly with the owners but they have abandoned it and it's going into foreclosure. No signs up yet so I'm trying to ascertain the bank responsible so that we can resolve an issue with the property ASAP.
Thank you kindly!

It shows whomever owns the property. There might be a slight lag while the Register of Deeds updates their records but then it's beamed over to the GIS folks.
A foreclosure that goes to auction will cause a new deed to be created so if the bank truly owns it then yes the bank will be shown as the owner.

If the house hasn't been foreclosed on you'll have to do a title search to figure out who the lender is. Register of deeds office..
