Relocating to North Carolina (Charlotte, Concord: renting, place to live, price)

We are relocating from Jupiter, FL. Though we are not considered "rich", we live in a very middle-high class area in which we loved. We've been renting here for a long time. Does anyone know of some nice places to relocate to close to the Charlotte area? My family lives in Charlotte but I would prefer to live 10-20 minutes away from them. Our price range we are looking in is between 160-210. Or, we are also thinking of renting for a few months until we get to know the area and look for a decent place to live. Any suggestions would help. Thank you.

Try Concord, NC (NE of Charlotte), Belmont, NC(west of Charlotte), and Ft. Mill, SC (south of Charlotte). All 3 are good areas.
