If you had to guess, what percentage of moms who live in The Point subdivision in Mooresville are stay-at-home moms?
We are planning our 3rd visit to the area in April/May to look at more homes and check out the area. Unfortunately during our first two visits it was extremely hot and unseasonably cold. It seemed everyone was indoors and we weren't able to meet anyone from the neighborhood. Where would you recommend we visit to meet people and kids this time around? Thanks for your input.

Look at the city/town websites for all of the towns in the area. Many of the municipalities plan events. These will be appropriate for all ages of children. Don't limit yourself to towns in your immediate area.

Don't forget the train museum in Spencer. My grand kids love to go there. Dan Nichols Park is redoing the mini golf,so it will be even nicer.

That's a great suggestion! We love going to nearby festivals, especially in the fall. A list can be found here for NC:

North Carolina Festivals

and SC:

South Carolina Festivals, Art Shows, Craft Fairs, Music Festivals in South Carolina

Those are good lists.

This is what I was referring to: City of Kings Mountain, North Carolina

Also, Inn of the Patriots in Grover is having an egg roll. The Presidential Culinary Museum and Presidential Service Museum - where "Inside the Presidents' Cabinet" TV series is filmed. (http://theinnofthepatriots.com/TIOTPculinarymuseum.htm - broken link)

Also, the Gateway Trail has a 5K/10K walk/run (Proceeds go to lengthening the trail.) Kings Mountain Gateway Trails > Home

You may want to post this as a separate question, rather than inside a different topic.

Thank you all so very much for your suggestions & great ideas. We have a toddler & a teen, so finding things that they'd both be interested in for the most part is key!! Some really great ideas... Thanks again!

Saw the Transportation Museum rec. and it reminded me of the Aviation Museum near the airport. They have the plane that Capt. Sully landed in the Hudson and a Tuskegee exhibit is coming in April.
