Buying a vehicle in Columbia and bringing to Charlotte, how does it work, double taxes?
I found a car that I like located in Columbia, SC. How does it work, do I end up paying any special/extra charges for buying in one state and registering in another?

If it's used, and I'm guessing it is, I'm pretty sure you pay taxes when you get a license plate for it (registration). It's been a while since I registered a used car.
You should try the NCDMV website. It's actually very informative and fairly easy to navigate.

You pay taxes where you register the vehicle.
