Cars and Coffee has moved. The owners at Northlake Mall no longer wish the event there.
Here's a link that explains it all. Look at Page 2 for the new venue announcement.
Charlotte Area Cars and Coffee - Location Change Update!!
It resumes at NC Music Factory/Mattie's Diner Uptown Charlotte off of Graham St. on May 5 (I think).
I intend going to this one since I'll be in town for the gig. So long as it is not raining heavily that is.

Thanks for that. I had no idea it had moved.

This is what I was thinking... I don't need to have the top down year round, but it seems there is no reason I could not enjoy the "GT-ness". With the shows, it sounds like a fun place to have a performance car.

We have a Porsche Boxster as a 3rd car for weekends and sometimes commute car. This year we have had the top down every month through the winter months as it's been a decently warm winter. As long as you keep the windows up and the heat on, it's more than fine during many days.
On the other hand I don't care to ride in a convertible here in the summer during mid-day. it's a good way to get boiled in your own juices.

I was seriously considering selling my GTO and getting into a Vette, even aconvertible. Then I spent an afternoon in a buddy's vert last August.
Scratch that off the list of possible replacements.
The Boxster is one of the best driving cars I've ever driven. Not a powerhouse, but so stable.

I take the soft top off my Jeep in the summer but then I have been known to have the doors off and drive in the snow in the mountains in the winter (properly dressed, of course). I also have driven my convertible w/ top down 12 months a year, but again . . . that's not for everyone. My point is . . . yes, you can definitely enjoy a convertible here, and it is especially nice to take it to the mountains. There are many clubs you can join - and have fun with rallies, as well.
This is car country!

This is great news!!! I was bummed that both Mooresville and Cars and Coffee were shut down.
Are there any details on why Northlake didn't want all the business it brought to Panera at a time when no one was at the mall? (8am)
The owner of Mattie's is a cool guy, I am glad to see the show going there.... woo!
