Question Pineville residents question

What are the good & bad points to buying a home and living in Pineville? I heard good things about Pineville but then I look on Sperlings and it says crime is 10?

The crime rate likely comes from the fact that Pineville has more than its fair share of retail and apartment complexes - they both pretty much outnumber single family homes.

I wouldn't let that crime number worry you

Great Thanks makes sense! So what your saying is stay away from buying homes close to apartment complex's? What about Steele Creek area or Northlake? Would you say the same for that or most of Charlotte?

I would choose Steele Creek over Northlake myself.

You don't have to avoid all homes by apts, it's just that larger complexes tend to have more petty crime themselves.

In general, larger apt complexes do attract more criminals because it's not always easy to tell who belongs there and who doesn't.

The icky thing about Pineville is the traffic on 485 during rush hour. And traffic in general can be pretty thick in the area, but that doesn't bother some people. We attend church in Pineville and frequently go to Carolina Place since it's so close to Fort Mill.

We also live close to Steele Creek. I think I would choose Steele Creek over Pineville, just a little more small town to me which I prefer.
