I wonder if it really chews him up about the team's record or if he is a Dan Snyder type who doesn't care so long as he makes money.

This part of the article gave me a smile:

Even Jordan's friends and colleagues have been critical of his job performance.

Then they go on to quote Charles Barkley. Charles Barkley says something critical? Stop the presses!

I feel bad for Jordan. Did a lot for the game of basketball but just can't get it correct to field a competitive basketball team.

Jordan seemed at home in Chicago. I think he loved his life there. I think he moved back to NC b/c he felt he should (family, maybe). I feel bad for him b/c he had a great life and so much public adulation in CHI. He may have thought he wanted out of the public spotlight so he "came back home" but no way anyone can compare all that Chicago offers to what Charlotte offers, especially if you are wealthy.

Michael Jordan the basketball player (Go Bulls!!!) is not the same as Michael Jordan the team owner. Is this the first team he's ever owned? The problem is with his business savvy, not his knowledge of basketball.

Just because you can build a heck of a shelf, doesn't mean you can run a construction company.

I'm pretty sure Jordan fell out with the owners of the Bulls...

I don't feel sorry for Jordan one bit because everyone I have talked to said he is a jerk. I tried defending him thinking it was a bad day or a fan caught him at a bad time but I've heard it so much it has to be true. Old, young, black, white, women and men... all said the same thing, Jordan is a big ole douchebag.

He surrounded himself with yes men and Kwame Brown... anyone who does that deserves to fail. I heard he finally got some good people around him who will challenge him so hopefully the Bobcats improve.

At least he still has his Hanes money to fall back on. A nice comfortable cushion to fall back on.
