ok i didnt realize south end and that area is only a 5 minute drive from there.
Im looking to store all my musical equipment somewhere that i can access daily, and there is a place on NCMF Blvd that has that. So a five minute drive would be perfect.

If i move my budget up to 750 would i be able to get a small apartment w/ amenities in a decent area?

What areas do you recommend looking at for that price or $800, that are safe and good for a younger person.

I remember the first time we went to the Music Factory, we were already Uptown so we plugged the address into our GPS and it took us to a dead end,(maybe it was 9th street, which does not go thru) with railroad tracks separating us from the Music Factory. Apparently this was a known problem, because there was a person there directing traffic (we were not alone) to turn around, and make a few turns to get to the property.

Yeah, the city needs to explore ways to connect it to the rest of Uptown if you ask me.

Also, how is Plaza Midwood area?

Technically, it's walkable, but I would not do it after dark, especially alone.

PM is trendy, close to uptown, and has some rough edges.

Right. It's isolated in spots once you get further away from the middle of uptown and too close to areas where someone could easily take advantage of a guy walking alone at night.
