3 of the 4 criteria used are in-home activities, and aren't a direct reflection on the city. As for adult entertainment establishments, I don't see that many around here, certainly not when compared to other cities. I'm sure some scientist could suggest why those cities are in that list.

The fact that Baltimore is not in the top ten is proof that this list is ridiculous. The Block in Charm City probably outsmuts all of North Carolina on its own.

Nope, but I'd be surprised if the concentration of "buy me drinkee" bars/strip clubs/book stores/quarter video joints equals or outstrips that of The Block.

Best part is that lockup was right down the street from it so you didn't have very far to be escorted at the end of the evening.

Here's a google streetview of the "whoreshoe" on bragg boulevard. Every one of the businesses in this strip mall is an "asian bar" or strip club. In additon to this, there are four or five other strip clubs, two adult bookstores including one porno theatre, two clubs with "private rooms" within one mile.

Charlotte is good at hiding the adult stuff but there is something of a red light district of massage parlors off Old Pineville Road at Woodlawn. There are also a few places hiding in plain sight off Pineville-Matthews Road. Also on Monroe Road near Sharon Amity. Every now and again you'll hear of a bust. (For some reason they always arrest the woman, many of whom are human traffic, and not the men)

I think to some degree adult theaters just aren't popular anymore because of the internet.

Charlotte also ranks #19 for women having sugar daddies. Yes, there are plenty of ballers here spoiling young women, with their dough.

There are so many hotels in Charlotte and the surrounding areas that rent out their ballroom and rooms, just so that people can engage in swinging. The smut will always be around if you are looking for it. It does not bother me, as long as everyone involved is of legal age.

When we first decided to move to NC, we went all over the state. I still remember driving through Fayetteville. I've been all over this country, and I don't think I've ever seen more strip clubs and pawn shops then in that couple mile stretch.
