Cingular Service
Hello all!
We are thinking of moving to the Huntersville/Mooresville/Charlotte are and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how Cingular wireless service is in that area and if I should change my cell carrier. Thanks so much for your help..

My parents went with Cingular and they are very upset. The service seems to be terrible. However there has been talk of new towers going up. As of now I would switch my folks are thinking of paying the $175 to switch. Ihave Verizon and seem to always have a signal.
Hope this helps!

Agree. On our visit, we had Verizon and had no issues.

After Cingular, Suncom, AT&T, I am FINALLY getting good service with Verizon. They seem to have the widest coverage areas too.

I am with Cingular and hate it. I work and live downtown and frequently will have no reception.

I have T-Mobile and Verizon. Took both phones with me to Charlotte. Received service on both although the T-Mobile phone actually flashed "SUNCOM" (unfamiliar to me) while I was there.
In speaking with T-Mobile, I guess they have some kind of reciprocal agreement with that carrier and I have been told that my service should be fine once we relocate, it will just roam onto SUNCOM. I pay no roaming fees with T-Mobile, so no big deal as long as service is clear.
Judging from what I have heard others say, and the fact that I had no issues when I was in Charlotte, Verizon seems to be a good bet if you're going to switch.

T-Mobile uses a lot of other carriers if they have no cell sites. They are the smaller companies of the others.
