Personally, I detest "city smackdowns"

There is just no reason to try to crush one city's image in order to make another look good.

ALL cities have unique, interesting things about them that people who call them home enjoy or appreciate.

We've got a poster from Atlanta that loves to come over here on the Charlotte forum and do this kind of childless bashing. What a waste of time and energy, and shame on media who fuel this mentality.

I thought this was a nice article. Charlotte was trashed. Nor was Tampa.

If this person's favorite Indian restaurant is Copper then they haven't been to many Indian restaurants here. It is probably the nicest, but IMO it is far from the best.

All I could think of was, "You've gotta try Blue Taj!"

Call me crazy, but that article feels like the result of about an hour on C-D and Google. Am I wrong?

I agree! Each city is unique and different so to belittle one because it's not like the other is fruitless. Instead, we should be greatful for the variety of options out there.

I agree, it was a good article about the queen city & just comparing the two convention cities, I look forward tomorrow what they say about Tampa. I expect more articles like this from other national news this whole summer comparing the two cities,

The comments beneath the article was only thing negative as stated above.

I declare this official Charlotte vs Tampa smack down thread.

Yeah I don’t see anything wrong with the articles, as the Tampa one is there now too.

They both are talking about the virtues’ of both cities.
