I successfully sold my home in the past (FSBO) -- and got a full offer. However, I am in marketing and altho I was not using my real estate license at the time, I did have a brokers license so I knew the methodology, could fill out a contract properly, etc. I dealt w/ a good attorney for closing.

In this market, even I would have to give a lot of thought to marketing my home by myself. Folks are into online searches . . . and the big brokerages have the advantage with well constructed websites. MLS gives you visibility on the searches.

Unless you are in a high traffic area where potential buyers will simply see your sign and be willing to call for details . . . I don't think this would be the best way to sell your home. If you are in a new development with lots of traffic from folks simply looking to see what is out there . . . then maybe you would be lucky. But I sure wouldn't advise doing it without a good attorney to help you through the process.
