Yes, certainly they gave of freewill, but like so many other people were taken advantage of my Jim Bakker. My elderly neighbors in another state used to watch their show on TV all the time and donated alot of their retirement and social security money. They also were a dear, elderly couple who was taken advantage of. I'm sure Tammie Faye spent a ton of money on make-up, but I do believe she was a loving soul who got caught up with this man. It was very sad to see she passed the way she did, but I have memories of her as a happy woman who loved life and her Lord. I'm sure this person just wanted to post this to show people what became of all those contributions and the downfall. Maybe his parents have passed and they ran across all this paperwork and wanted to show it to the residents here. It was this person's first post, so cut him a break!

What are you talking about? Being a native of Charlotte, I am fully aware of the Bakker/PTL history. I am also aware of
some of the good these people did in this area and some of the indivduals that were part of the organization and the impact they made on many lives.

Who knows why the OP posted what he did, a great deal of what he posted comes from the PTL Bible he posted. Being that he had no derogatory comments, perhaps he has good memories. For that, I say once again...good for them, no matter what the Bakker's etc...did or didn't do, many blessings and miracles came from those times and the prayers held. No need to cut any breaks, at least not yet...history dictates someone will come in the thread to be ugly.

He was crying like a baby in a fetal position not wanting to goto prison for bilking so many people out of so much money.

I hope those handcuffs were tight....and I wonder if the profits from his book went to the people he committed fraud against?
