Default Outlet Furniture Stores in Charlotte or nearby

Moving to Charlotte in a few weeks. Can you please let me know if there are any furniture outlet stores? I'm going to need living room and bedroom furniture.

Focus your search for outlets in the Hickory, High Point, and Thomasville areas. High Point, the "The Home Furnishings Capital of the World," is home to the International Home Furnishings Market held each April and October. Donald Trump brought "Trump Home"to the High Point Market. I know Hickory Furniture Mart and Furniture Land South are popular.

Hickory Furniture Mart
Furnitureland South - North Carolina's Premiere Discount Furniture Showplace

If you choose to go the chain route, we have them all. I know an area by the Carolina Place Mall in Pineville that has every chain you can imagine!!

There is a Mitchell Gold outlet in Hickory. Mitchell Gold is the company that provides most if not all of the upholstered and slipcovered furniture for the Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware catalogs. I scored two PB Basic chairs there for less than the cost of one from a Pottery Barn store.

They have a mailing list and their after-market sales are the BEST times to shop! But be forewarned: it's a TRUE outlet, so it's not all pretty with little living room sets on display. The furniture is crammed in there, but there are treasures GALORE!

Boyle's furniture has an outlet store on Independence Blvd in Matthews (Windsor Square). If you are not familiar with Boyle's, it is a large furniture store here that carries many different manufacturers. You can get some pretty decent deals there, though High Point and Hickory will have more.

Rooms to Go stores are everywhere around here. They have pretty good deals. Also, there is a furniture outlet on 10101 S. Independence. I dont remember the name but it was pretty reasonable as well.

Be careful with Ashley Furniture when it comes to delivery and repairs. Everything worked out eventually for my wife and I, but it was sure unpleasant dealing with them. PM me if you want to know more.

Totally agree!! It took Ashley 9 deliveries before we received all our brand new furniture undamaged. We bought it on July 10, 2006 and it took them until the week before Thanksgiving (4 months) to finish delivering everything in acceptable condition. Just make sure you check each piece of furniture thoroughly for any scratches & gouges, & don't sign any delivery paperwork until you do!!!

Wow, we had quite the opposite experiance with Ashley. We purchased furniture in one of there Florida stores, everything went real smooth. Including them replacing a couch that had cracked back support.
