I read that the new proposed property tax rate is 8.5%. Increase on tax right after reval from 2011

It seems south clt pays 50% of taxes collected and new revenues from increased tax will almost entirely be used for projects outside south clt. Almost a billion dollar.

How is this fair and which idiot thinks of raising taxes during election year and tough jobless market.

1. I pay 100% of the property taxes collected for my property and almost all of these revenues are used for projects outside of my property!!!!

2. I am not at all clear what property tax rate increases the OP is referring to.

3. The OP I believe is complaining about property taxes not income taxes.

4. That photo is totally inappropriate! (but funny )

People with the most money always pay more taxes no matter where you go. You don't seriously expect someone earning $20K per year to pay the same amount of taxes as someone who earns $150K per year.

Read it.. It's property tax hike... Not income tax...

I pay and don't mind paying taxes... But don't just randomly increase taxes...
