I'm a single guy in my 30s looking to expand my horizons and meet some new people. I've tried the bar scene but most of my friends are married, so I'm the lone wolf most of the time, and I'm just not the type of guy who can walk into a bar and command the room and get phone numbers from eligible young ladies like something out of a James Bond movie. I'm actually more of an introvert and I figured that I might have more luck meeting women at a church in the area where there are lots of young singles and where being social is encouraged. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on this topic. Are there churches in the area that are known for being bastions of young singles?

Just to be sure, I did a search and I know this question has been asked before, but usually the question is about finding a specific denomination of Christianity or a church with a specific message. I was raised Christian, but I'm not very religious, so I'm not really looking for any particular denomination or any particular message. I'm really looking for more of a social opportunity than anything. Any advice along these lines would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

-Tim

I think as a young adult, you would find Elevation quite appealing. Go to their website and check them out.
Good luck in your search!

Maybe Watershed in NoDa? I'm not Christian, so I'm probably not the best person to answer, but that church seems to be centered on the younger crowd.

Mosaic Church / Home / Home

a bit smaller than Elevation*, non-denominational, easier to connect with people your own age. Lots of opportunity for forming friendships.

Recommend that you listen to the services of each to form your own opinion.

*Elevation is part of the Southern Baptist Association.

Hope to see you there!
