I'm going to a concert there tomorrow night (Thursday) and have lawn seats. I'm hoping for at least one jumbotron there? Is there any hope for me to have decent views of the stage considering how far away it is? Thanks!

We're going too. I have never sat on the lawn, but I think they can see fairly well because it is elevated. There are two screens, one on each side of the stage. Providing you don't have tall people standing in your way, you will probably be fine. I am short, and it never fails, I am always seated behind someone 7 feet tall. LOL That is why I don't like to go there, but this is a group my husband has never seen and has always wanted to, so I'll tough it out.

I'd be going too but I have to be out of town tomorrow. The lawn and seating slope upward from the stage so you should be able to see over most of the crowd, but you'll be pretty far away from the stage. VW is a huge so the screens make a big difference. No rain in the forecast which is good, but you guys are going to be hot! Enjoy the show.

We're down close on Thursday, but we have had lawn seats for a few shows there in the past. It was well designed on a slope where you can see the stage fairly well, although you are far. The view is not that bad from the front section of the lawn.

Up the irons! \m/

That's me as well. They have been on my bucket list for years now and I can't wait to see them! Many thanks for the info on the lawn everyone, it doesn't sound bad at all.

The last time I saw them was in 1988. I feel old...

this place is huge, don't sit in the lawn if you want to "see" them. You are far away, but they have a big screen on each side of the stage. This is my theory about verizon because i've been there so many times.

If it's a concert that you just want to hang out with friends and listen to music and drink then get lawn tickets, but if it's like you're favorite band and REALLY want to enjoy the show get in the seats sections 1-8

Thanks Burnhagw! It's not my favorite band, however I'm not going to pass up the chance to see this show, even if it's from a distance as I've followed them for years. Even with the cheap seats by the time I pay for parking, tee shirts, beer, etc I'm sure I'll drop quite a bit of change.....

My two cents - if you sit/stand directly behind the small roped-off family/'no alcohol' section in the lawn then you'll not only have fewer people to look over, but you'll have great access to the concessions and restrooms. The further in towards the middle you go, the tougher it all becomes.
