Looking for some friends to go out with and meet. I am in the meetup thing and also became a member of this city-data thing to hopefully meet some newcomers to NC who are also in the same boat as me and also maybe are here from NY. It would be great to make some friends, went from a crazy social life to a boring one... Help a sister out... Give me some feedback!!

Hi there. I will be relocating to Charlotte soon and I will be in the same boat. I am from NY by way of MD. Spent the last 4 yrs in MD. There is a post by Anu who is trying to pull a singles event together for people ages 25-35. Just another way for people to get connected. You should check out the post. I think the first event is to be held this month. I suggested a costume party for next month's event, although I will miss both.

Good luck and keep me posted on what you've found as far as creating a new network of friends because I will need one soon.
