Love Lake Norman-you will easily get what you want for the price.
Iredell/Statesville schools are generally better than Mecklenburg schools. Only Mooresville Lake Norman falls into I/S school system ie Huntersville/ Davidson/ Cornelius are Mecklenburg
Also Cabarrus county has good schools and house prices.
People will talk about the commute time to Charlotte from Lake Norman but it's all relative to what you are used to. My husband takes 15 minutes to travel less than 2 miles to work where we live now.

In this price range, and your needs? Look at this school cluster: Providence Spring Elementary, Jay M Robinson Middle and Ardrey Kell. All have strong positive leadership in the classroom- teachers and kids. class size can be a problem anywhere here though becasue the area is so popular, and everyone is behind in school construction.

pm me for more, I've a lot of personal experience and details from others.

Default lake norman area

I visited Lake Norman on the advise by you guys! I loved it.
We are looking to buy a house with water access.

Which part of the lake is the most popular or the best for waterskiing?

We like Mooresville, for the schools.

There is so much water, but I'm sure there is a good place to go boating and a better place to go boating.

I need someone who has lived there a while, that knows about the no wake zones and the less crowded areas.

I want to find a house by an area of the lake that I can launch my boat and not have to drive through a bunch of no wake zones to go waterskiing.
PLEASE HELP!

Thanks.
