Thanks for your help and advice everyone. I have a front load washer that is attached to the pedstals.
It sits almost as tall as me, so I cannot move it myself to look behind it. I
don't really know many people here and don't have family here either. I will
do a little more research, but I will probably still have to have someone look at it.

Since it is a front loader, do try running it without anything in it to see if you still have a leak. Rugs and too much soap can cause a suds lock (there really is such a term) which can cause the washer all sorts of problems when it tries to drain. With front loaders you can really cut back on the amount of detergent used. In many cases only a tablespoon will do.
