So which fireworks display would you suggest if you live in South Charlotte. We have never made it to one in 4 years and I am determined to get my kids to one of them this year. Any suggestions? I don't think I want to attempt the uptown one, I think that may be overwhelming for kids since they are little still.

Carmel Country Club usually does a good one on the 4th. I haven't been home the past few years on the fourth so I am not 100% sure they still do it but they always used to. You can park along GReen Rae Rd and find a good spot around there.

The biggest one in South Charlotte is actually at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill.

People set up chairs on the sidewalks and there is a big grassy area on the corner of Green Rea and Carmel.

Carmel did do the fireworks last year and it was spectacular, and surprising to me that a country club would have this large of a fireworks show.

FYI...Knights Stadium has a HUGE fireworks display! Tickets sell out fast, even the SRO tickets (which really is bring a blanket & sit on the grass hill seating). It will be crowded & the concession lines will be long, so be prepared. Know that reaffic leaving the stadium will be insane. Can't go wrong with baseball, hot dogs & fireworks on the 4th & the kids will love it! BTW, I work at Knight's Stadium. I'll be the red shirt running around like a lunatic that day, lol!

Will it be easier to get out by parking and watching at Steve's or does Steve's fill up too?

Knight's Stadium's display is on the 4th, right after the game.

Gapeach69...Steve's? Don't know where that is.
