We are looking to move to Charlotte, and thought a good jumping off point might be renting in South Park to start off. Does anyone have any experience renting in the Residence at South Park apartments?

I do not personally live there, but I am there 40+ hours a week ( I work for a someone who lives in The Residence and they work from home.) It's a really nice temp home. Many people live there when they are looking to buy a home or only living in Charlotte for a short period of time. Do you have children?

A few issues:
Sometimes there not paper in the printer (No big deal, but I did hear someone complaining about this)
Once your lease is up the rent will increase (just like any other apartment it goes up, so I would ask about the rent increase)It can easily go up $400+ depending the lease term.

Perks:
The apartments are great
Pool area is fun and has awesome views
Walking distance to everything

Is there anything specific you would like to know?

We, too, are planning to rent while looking for a home. One of the great things about those apartments are they do have short leases available. No children, and no need for commuting, so we can be anywhere...

It's a great place then. Both of my bosses work from home. Good Luck, hopefully I'll see you around!
