What an awesome concert Van Halen put on last night!! We are truly fortunate to have a venue like Bobcats arena! Eddie was awesome on the lead guitar! Alex and those drums- incredible! And, David Lee Roth has STILL got it!! How does a man who has got to be near 100 still have that kind of flexibilty?? Im still majorly bummed about the Hannah Montana thing- although Ive noticed that Ticketmaster and AEG live have wised up. You actually have to live in the geographic region to buy concert tickets (why didnt they think of that 2 months ago???). The Police are coming in November, and as a child of the 80's, I couldnt be any more thrilled!!! While we're still aspiring to become world class, we've certainly gotten a start on offering some world class entertainment! See ya at the show!!

Default wish I was there

I also wish Led Zepplin would do more than just one charity concert, and come to America.

Glad you had fun! Wish I could have gone. Didn't it sell out pretty much immediately?

I saw Dave Matthews on the lawn last Wed., and it was an excellent show. Even though it was lawn, it was a MUCH better show than the August show up at Nissan that I went to w/ my DH, even though we had outstanding pavilion seats at Nissan. Verizon Amphitheater was great, and the folks down here are just a much better crowd than those NOVAs (I used to be one, too, but I happily resigned my post!)

Ditto on the Led Zeppelin, I'm keeping my eyes out for those tix and hoping they come stateside!

Has anyone heard ANYTHING about Genesis coming to Charlotte? That's one concert I'd love to go to! Verizon is also a great venue! Im really looking forward to see what they'll have to offer next summer! Are you aware of the season ticket program that Verizon has? You can buy tickets for all shows of one genre, for a pretty reasonable price. The country ticket this year was great! Next year should be even better ( I think Garth Brooks is gonna start touring with the next 2 or 3 years!)!

Here's what's left on the Genesis tour. There was nothing close to Charlotte. https://tickets.genesis-music.com/

And OH YEAH, the boys rocked the house last night at Bobcats Arena! We didn't get to sit down for more than five minutes during the entire show!

You're simply riding a high of pure nostalgia. When you come down you'll realize that Van Halen never rocked.

And Mozart never created beautiful symphonies.

Maybe Zepplin will perform at the new Hard Rock park this Summer, considering they helped design the Led Zepplin Roller coaster. They are going to have concerts there.
