Seems most of them are backed up at least a week right now.

I have always used Tim Jenkins at Accurate Home Inspections. My backup has always been Home Inspection Carolina.

If you are buying make sure the inspection includes the roof. (meaning they go up there and check the singles, flashing, venting, rot, etc) Issues with the roof are difficult to spot from the ground and can cost you significantly in the future. Do this even for homes with a new roof.

I've used this guy before too. Very thorough, I was very pleased with his inspection.

Unless the roof is very hazardous to be on then you need to skip over these Inspectors! Frewroad is 100% correct that there are many issues on roofs that just can't be seen or seen well from the ground. I'm on every roof I can possibly get on, and that includes many 10:12 pitch roofs. I find plenty of issues and get an actual view of the problems.

You need to be very careful of any Home Inspector that doesn't climb roofs, walk attics, crawl the crawlspaces, etc.!
