Raise your hand if you plan on leaving for the DNC.

Feel free to explain why.

I will just not be venturing out far from my house, but everything I need is within 1.5 miles anyway . . . Hubby and I work from home so nothing much will change for us.

Only people that live or work in uptown need give it any thought, IMO. It'll be a media circus, but there are only "several thousand" delegates and Dem party people. There will be city streets closed for security, but the roads leading into Charlotte can handle several thousand tourists in uptown just like for any rock concert at the arena.

Leave? I have to work. Started a new job and only have 4 Vacation/Sick days. Saving that. Have to drive on 85 Past Brookshire everyday to Concord...

Goodness I hope 85/485 Exchange in Concord is not Hell....

No reason to leave. The DNC doesn't affect me or my habits in the slightest.

We're going to The Daily Show on the first night. I'm not sure there's much that could keep me away from that!

Honestly - who can "leave?" Plan a vacation? I don't know anyone who is "leaving town" b/c there is going to be a convention here. Folks have to work, go to school, etc . . . not many people can just decide to "leave."
