I'm thinking of using Megabus for a short trip next week. Am I correct in stating that Megabus leaves from the major transportation hub in Uptown Charlotte? If so, is there paid parking where I can leave my car for a couple of days? I use the daily parking lots in Uptown all the time, but I've never seen one with the option of paying for more than one day upfront. I could take a cab to the bus station instead, but then I'd be paying cab fare from South Park. Any thoughts?

Someone had a similar question at beginning of the year, and my recommendation is if your wanting to avoid cab fare is either try to be drop off or try parking at the airport. The long term lots run $4 daily and daily lots $6 daily. You can check status of lot to see which one is open here. Parking Status

Then take CATs bus #5 'The Sprinter' to the transportation center it runs about every 20 minutes. Bus fare cost $1.75 boarding at Terminal.

Take the 19 or 20 bus from South Park if you want to save money. It will drop you off right next to the MegaBus stop. You could call one of the garages and see if they'll let you park for a couple days, too.

Hmm... It looks like I could ride the bus from the Cotswold Harris Teeter to the Uptown transportation center. I could theoretically park overnight in the Costwold Shopping Center parking lot. Would this be a good idea, or is there a strong chance I'd be towed?

You can ride almost any bus to the transportation center. Even a cab would be cheaper than parking uptown. Do you have a friend who could drop you off?
