Husband will be working with colleague from there operation out of the country. We are planning to show him around uptown. Since we are in our late 40's . Whats a good place to take a 25 year single guy to show him some night life in uptown. thanks! This will be his first visit to the USA.

I'm not 25, but the Epicentre uptown seems to be a good destination.

I was going to say the same thing and I'm not 25 either.

Since not all 25yrs old are alike...I'd say your husband should ask the visitor what his interests are.
Why not send your visitor an email with couple of links (Charlotte attractions websites) and let the visitor respond on what he would like to see.

I'm 26. I know the area. Trust me. "The Epicenter" is not exactly representative of where people from charlotte go. A lot of people go to the epicenter because it was in a visitor guide. NC Music factory is a very good place to take him, and still feel confortable being there.

Epicentre is more where people go to "party". NC Music factory is more of place to "hang out". As someone closing in on 40, I would much prefer to take a 25 year old friend down to the music factory. But as someone that is in the country for the first time (depending on where they are from), they may enjoy the higher intensity of the Epicentre (but you likely won't).

Drop him at the square (Tryon and Trade) and tell him to pick a crowd of people that look appealing to him and follow. He will likely end up in the Epicentre, College St., 5th, Tryon, or even Trade. So, to answer your question, anywhere. The Music Factor has lots but usually requires a taxi due to awkward, yet nearby location.
